  Met some friends here for breakfast recently and left quite disappointed. The service was inconsistent and slow. Coffees went unfilled and when we chased down a bus boy for coffee refills (because the servers wouldn't make eye contact), he filled only one empty mug and made his way to leave only to have us ask for the others to be filled as well.
  
  I could see the kitchen and servers from our table and noticed that there appeared to be a problem with our order. The food was delivered much later with a non-apology from the server saying that some other server had taken our plates. Well, my plate clearly sat ready for quite some time because the American fries I had with my breakfast were super cold.... cold enough as if they'd just been pulled from the fridge. The least they could have done is remade my plate while they made the others for our table.
  
  If my food was hot, or there was a real apology, or there was some credit applied to the bill, I would have been satisfied. None of that happened though and all that paired with the slow and inattentive service, we won't be back.

  I came here as a patron about 10-15 times back in 2006-09 time frame. I can't say that I was a fan of much at Hudy's. I didn't care for the food at all especially compared to the price I was paying for what I was receiving. They didn't allow credit cards or checks - cash only. I don't know if that is still the policy but it was a HUGE inconvenience to someone who only uses credit cards or debit cards. I don't walk around with fat stacks of cash in my pocket and many times I didn't have enough cash on hand and had to make someone else in my party pay and then I reimburse them. That cash-only policy is so 1960s. Anyway, the customer service out at the tables might have been the only good point except service behind the counter was consistently slow. So I can't say much positive for the place as a whole. Others swear by Hudy's I know. I just don't get it.
